Palmetto Parkway - Finishing the job in Aiken County

Partnership is the key ingredient for a successful design-build project. Under the leadership of United Contractors, Inc., local firms U.S. Constructors, Inc., R.E. Goodson, Triplett-King & Associates, Inc., Coleman-Snow Consultants, Inc., Florence & Hutcheson, Inc., F&ME Consultants, Inc., S&F Engineering, Inc., Palmetto Safety Solutions, Inc., and Public Strategy, LLC have combined their expertise to form “TEAM UNITED.”

A cooperative effort among Aiken County, the City of North Augusta, South Carolina Department of Transportation Infrastructure Bank (SCTIB), South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) awarded “TEAM UNITED” the design-build contract based on the lowest price received. This gave TEAM UNITED the opportunity to partner and assist in “Finishing the Job” in Aiken County.

Because of the ability of this partnership and how the Design-Build process works, TEAM UNITED is able to manage this project from start to finish. TEAM UNITED is capable of not only designing, permitting, testing, but complete construction of Phase II. In addition TEAM UNITED provides on-the-job training, utility coordination, and community relations with leadership and oversight provided by SCDOT and LPA. Our partners are able to take advantage of the cost savings and minimize time delays. TEAM UNITED expects to complete Phase II of the Palmetto Parkway in 30 months, within a budget of $125,943,800.00 million.
